The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have actually pressed up the price of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered .
In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
